NACS Magazine was recognized at the 2020 Association Media & Publishing EXCEL Awards in July for its September, October and November issues. The issues won the Gold award in the General Excellence category (20,001 to 50,000 circulation), which judged magazines on originality and quality of content, design and writing, as well as organization of articles and general readability.
NACS also won the Gold award in the Promotional Content, On-Site Convention Daily category for its NACS Show Daily, a print newspaper that NACS publishes during the NACS Show in corporation with Ascend Media. Days 2 and 3 at the 2019 NACS Show in Atlanta won the award. The dailies featured articles on general session speakers Daymond John of the hit show “Shark Tank” and professional adventure racer Robyn Benincasa, along with coverage of education sessions, trade show happenings and the NACS Ideas 2 Go video series.
The NACS Foundation and creative agency Beyond Definition were recognized with Bronze awards in two categories: Advertising Campaign (event/convention) and Awareness Campaign, both honoring work on the NACS Foundation 24/7 Day, which helps raise awareness for first responders, medical personnel and American Red Cross volunteers each year on July 24.
The Association Media & Publishing EXCEL awards recognize the best and brightest in media among hundreds of associations across the United States.
